Edgar Norton (29 July 1871 – 15 December 1953) was an American actor who appeared in over 180 films throughout his career. He is perhaps best known for his work in classic Hollywood productions such as It’s a Wonderful Life, Mr. Deeds Goes to Town, and The Devil and Daniel Webster. He often played supporting roles as judges, lawyers, or other authority figures. He also appeared in several Westerns and serials.
