Ricou Browning (23 March 1930-27 February 2023) was an American film director, actor, and stuntman who is best known for his work in underwater sequences. He was perhaps best known for his role as the Gill-man in the underwater scenes of the classic horror film Creature from the Black Lagoon and its two sequels. He also directed several films and television shows throughout his career, including Flipper and Sea Hunt.
