Lawrence Grant (30 October 1870 – 10 February 1952) was a British actor who appeared in over 150 films throughout his career, primarily in the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s. He is perhaps best known for his roles in classic Hollywood productions such as The Mask of Fu Manchu, The Cat and the Canary, and The Old Dark House. He often played the supporting character or the authority figure, such as doctors, butlers, and detectives. In addition to his film work, he was also a successful stage actor and appeared in several West End productions. He retired from acting in the early 1950s and passed away later that same year at the age of 81.
