Edward Dein (16 August 1914 – 8 March 1970) was an American film director and screenwriter who worked in Hollywood from the 1940s through the 1960s. He is best known for his work in classic Hollywood productions, particularly in the horror and science fiction genres. He directed several films, including Curse of the Undead, The Leech Woman, and Calypso Joe. He was also a successful screenwriter and wrote several screenplays, including The Four Skulls of Jonathan Drake and The Snow Creature. He passed away in 1970 at the age of 55.
