J. Edward Bromberg (25 December 1903 – 6 December 1951) was a Hungarian-American actor who appeared in over 50 films throughout his career. He is perhaps best known for his roles in classic Hollywood productions such as The Mark of Zorro, The Invisible Man’s Revenge, and The Man Who Came to Dinner. He was also a victim of the Hollywood blacklist and was forced to testify before the House Un-American Activities Committee, which led to his untimely death at the age of 47.
