Arthur Lubin (25 July 1898 – 12 May 1995) was an American film director and producer who worked in Hollywood from the 1930s through the 1950s. He is best known for his work in classic Hollywood productions, particularly in the comedy and musical genres. He directed several films, including Hold That Ghost, Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, and Francis the Talking Mule. He was also a successful television director and worked on several popular shows, including The Adventures of Superman and Mister Ed. Prior to his career as a filmmaker, he was a successful stage actor and appeared in several Broadway productions. He was married to the actress Lynne Overman until his death in 1995 at the age of 96.
