Ralph Bellamy (17 June 1904 – 29 November 1991) was an American actor who appeared in over 100 films throughout his career, primarily in the 1930s and 1940s. He is perhaps best known for his roles in classic Hollywood productions such as His Girl Friday, The Awful Truth, and Rosemary’s Baby. He often played supporting roles as the affable and charming leading man. In addition to his film work, he was also a successful stage actor and appeared in several Broadway productions. He received an Honorary Academy Award in 1987 in recognition of his career achievements.
