Gloria Stuart (4 July 1910 – 26 September 2010) was an American actress and artist who appeared in over 70 films throughout her career, primarily in the 1930s and 1940s. She is perhaps best known for her roles in classic Hollywood productions such as The Invisible Man, Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, and Titanic. She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in The Titanic. In addition to her film work, she was also a successful painter and printmaker, and her artwork was exhibited in galleries throughout California. She was one of the oldest nominees for an Academy Award at the age of 87. She passed away at the age of 100 in 2010.
