Rondo Hatton (22 April 1894 – 2 February 1946) was an American actor who appeared in several films throughout the 1940s. He is best known for his work in horror films, particularly in the role of “The Creeper” in films such as The Pearl of Death and House of Horrors. Hatton’s appearance was due to acromegaly, a rare disease that caused his face and extremities to become deformed. He became a cult figure among horror fans and is often referred to as a “monster actor.”
